United States: Donald Trump’s childhood home sold for $1.93 million
The Queens house where Donald Trump lived until the age of four has been sold for $1.93 million after eight months of renovations. The property had previously suffered significant damage from mold, water leaks, and the presence of stray cats.
The transaction, finalized in July 2026 for the benefit of an anonymous buyer, involves a Tudor-style residence located at 85-15 Wareham Place, in Jamaica Estates, within the New York City borough of Queens. The amount was confirmed on September 12 by the Associated Press.
Built in 1940 by Fred Trump, the father of the American president, the house housed the family during Donald Trump’s early years. It features five bedrooms and retains several elements reminiscent of its original architecture, despite a complete interior renovation.
Developer Tommy Lin acquired the property in 2025 for $835,000. He claims to have invested approximately $500,000 in repairs to address mold and leaks, fix damage caused by years of neglect, and bring the rooms up to code.
The residence had previously changed hands for $2.14 million in 2017, before being listed for a time on Airbnb. An attempt to sell it for $2.9 million subsequently failed in 2019.
Reintroduced to the market after renovations with an asking price of $2.3 million, it ultimately found a buyer at $1.93 million.
