UK: Archie and Lilibet change schools after two days for security reasons

The difficulties primarily involved the daily commute between the family home and the school. The distance, traffic, and constraints placed on their protection officers made this arrangement challenging to maintain. No incidents involving the children have been reported.

The Sussex representative clarified that this change does not reflect any criticism of the first school. The family expressed appreciation for the welcome and support they received. The names of the former and new schools have not been made public to protect the privacy of Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5.

The couple had previously denied in September 2025 a supposed enrollment of Archie at Eton College. This time, the change of school is confirmed by their spokesperson, but no details identifying the school have been disclosed.

Harry and Meghan returned to settle in the UK at the end of August, after spending six years primarily in California. Their children began their first year of British schooling in early September.

This change comes as the British committee responsible for protecting public figures, Ravec, reassesses the level of police security provided to the couple since their return. This process will evaluate the risks associated with their new residence and regular travel, including school commutes. No final decision has been announced yet.
