Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will have to answer in court for his alleged involvement in the falsified-accounts affair linked to Victor Osimhen’s 2020 transfer. According to Tuttosport, the value of the deal, struck with Lille (LOSC), is alleged to have been artificially inflated.

The Nigeria international’s move to Serie A was bundled with goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis and three Primavera players — Manzi, Palmieri and Liguori. According to the prosecution, the value of these young players was allegedly deliberately overstated in order to shore up Napoli’s finances.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, his close associate Andrea Chiavelli, and Napoli itself have been sent to trial. Hearings are set to open on December 2, 2026.
