Tchaourou: A 3-year-old girl saved from the waters of the Okpara River in Kika.
A true miracle occurred this Sunday in the Kika district, located in the Tchaourou municipality.

A little girl, about three years old, was spotted and rescued from the waters of the Okpara River by a fisherman who managed to pull her out alive.
After her rescue, reports Fraternité fm, the child was immediately taken to the home of the village chief of Kpassa, Salifou Gnami, to receive first aid and appropriate care.
The local authorities remain active as they await the identification and reunion of the girl’s parents or relatives, as she is believed not to be from the area. The chief of the village of Kpassa seizes the opportunity to urge parents to be extra vigilant in monitoring their children during this time of rising waters after the recent rains.
