Real Madrid: Kylian Mbappé ruled out for the clash against Manchester City
Physically affected, Kylian Mbappé will not take part in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League between Real Madrid and Manchester City on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabéu, but a return is hoped for in the second leg.

Real Madrid will have to do without one of its major assets for the European clash against Manchester City. According to information from the Spanish daily Marca, Kylian Mbappé will not participate in the first leg of the Champions League, scheduled for Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The French striker has indeed done some physical exercises at the Madrid training center in recent days, but his condition is not yet considered sufficient to play a match of such intensity. The medical staff therefore prefer to err on the side of caution and will take no risks for this first leg against the Citizens.
On the Real Madrid side, there remains hope of quickly getting the French international back. If his recovery goes as planned and the conservative treatment bears fruit, Mbappé could make a gradual return this weekend in the league match against Elche CF.
But the main objective remains the return leg against Manchester City, scheduled for next week, for which Real Madrid hopes to be able to count on its attacking star in what already looks set to be a decisive duel for qualification.
