Real Madrid: José Mourinho imposes new rules in the locker room
Back on the bench at Real Madrid, José Mourinho has reportedly decided to strengthen discipline within the Madrid group. According to the Spanish press, the Portuguese coach has implemented several new guidelines, particularly regarding diet, punctuality, and medical follow-up.

José Mourinho aims to quickly impose his methods at Real Madrid. Returning this summer to the bench of the Merengue club for a second stint, the Portuguese coach has already started to change certain habits in the locker room. According to information reported by AS, Mourinho has identified several behaviors he now wants to correct. The 63-year-old technician has thus established four new rules aimed at strengthening discipline and professionalism within his squad.
The first measure: players will no longer have complete freedom to choose their diet. Mourinho wants to entrust meal management to a nutritionist, responsible for creating menus according to a specific program tailored to the demands of high-level competition. Punctuality is also among the new priorities for the Portuguese coach. Any player arriving late for a training session will have to do additional individual work in the gym.
A medical follow-up under club control
Mourinho has also tightened the rules regarding players’ recovery and rehabilitation from injuries. From now on, they will have to carry out their rehabilitation at Real Madrid’s training center, under the club’s supervision. The goal is particularly to prevent some players from following their own program outside the Madrid structure, with the involvement of external medical staff. With these new directives, José Mourinho is already showing his intent to regain control over his group’s daily routine and reestablish strict discipline within the Madrid locker room.
