According to Marca, a heated altercation pitted Federico Valverde against his teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni at training. The incident, described as particularly serious by the Spanish media, prompted coach Álvaro Arbeloa to organize an emergency meeting in order to ease tensions within the group.

Also according to Marca, the exchange between the two midfielders had escalated after a foul committed during Wednesday’s training session. The dispute then evolved into a physical confrontation. Federico Valverde was accidentally struck during the altercation and was attended to by medical services for precautionary examinations. This affair comes just a few days after another incident at training involving Antonio Rüdiger and Álvaro Carreras. The German defender later apologized after a gesture deemed excessive towards his teammate.
