Primary and preschool education: zero tolerance for absenteeism during the 2026-2027 pre-school year.
The Ministry of Early Childhood and Primary Education is taking firm measures to combat teacher and school director absenteeism during the pre-school year period of 2026-2027.
Through a statement, the ministerial authorities announced an enhancement of on-site inspection controls to put an end to these recurring shortcomings.
In order to inform all educational stakeholders about their attendance obligations, the ministry is organizing information and awareness workshops scheduled to take place no later than September 4th. These exchange sessions will result in the establishment of formal reports.
The organization of the start of the school year is as follows. The information and awareness workshop will take place no later than September 4th. The pre-school period is set for September 6th to 11th, with the school year beginning on September 14th.
The ministry’s management warns all teaching and administrative staff, stating that regulatory sanctions will be applied to any unexcused absentees during the pre-school period.
