Transfer Market: Liverpool Officializes the Arrival of Bradley Barcola from PSG

Liverpool officialized on Monday the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. The French forward has committed to the Reds for the next five seasons. To secure the services of the French international, the English club will pay a transfer fee of 106 million pounds. Bonuses could also increase the total amount of the deal up to 123 million pounds.

This arrival ends several weeks of discussions between the two clubs. The negotiations had been complicated notably by the large gap between PSG’s initial demands and Liverpool’s offers. The Parisian club had indeed set Barcola’s price at around 145 million pounds at the beginning of the summer. The two parties finally found a compromise, allowing the player to continue his career in the Premier League.

At Anfield, Barcola strengthens an already well-stocked attacking sector. His arrival also reflects Liverpool’s ambitions in the transfer market, as the club aims to remain at the forefront in England and on the European stage. At only 23 years old, the former Lyon player thus begins a new chapter in his career, with the goal of quickly establishing himself in the Reds’ jersey.
