Friendly: the Real Madrid squad to face Ferencvarosi

Real Madrid is gradually picking up pace. With two weeks to go until their La Liga debut, scheduled for August 22 against Espanyol Barcelona, the Merengue club will undergo another test this Saturday against Ferencvarosi. This match should allow José Mourinho to continue his preparation work and give his team more rhythm.

The return is still happening with an incomplete squad. Several internationals have not yet returned to Valdebebas, but their return is now imminent. Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and other key players are expected in the Spanish capital on Monday.

An Intensifying Preparation Program

Real Madrid has already increased the number of matches since the start of its preparation. The Merengue first faced Alcorcon and Leganés, achieving two victories, before going toe-to-toe with Fiorentina. Against the Italian club, the Madrilenians had to settle for a thrilling draw (2-2).

The match against Ferencvarosi therefore marks a new stage in the team’s strengthening. The schedule will remain busy as Real Madrid will next play Deportivo La Coruña on August 12, before taking on Schalke 04 a few days later.

The objective is clear: to use these matches to gradually regain automatic plays and allow players to accumulate playing time before the start of the new La Liga season.

Several Young Players Called Up by Mourinho

José Mourinho has also unveiled a second list that significantly includes the young talents of the club. Among them is Javi Navarro, who caught attention during the Youth League and has been called up to the first team again.

Dean Huijsen is also returning after missing the previous match. Several established players are also present in the squad, such as Antonio Rüdiger, Bernardo Silva, Vinicius Junior, and Brahim Diaz.
