First King: “I am blessed” enters the Apple Music Benin Top 20

For the Beninese artist, the signal is all the more significant as it comes less than two weeks after the release of his new album “Alpha.” Apple Music has listed the project since August 28 with 13 tracks, including “Je suis béni,” which has become one of the most prominent songs of this new musical phase.

The progress does not rely on a single counter. Popnable, which tracks the public performance of clips and tracks by country, ranked “Je suis béni” as high as second place in its Benin Top 100 on September 4 and fifth place in its weekly chart. The platform also counts more than 100,000 views for the video associated with the track.

On Audiomack, the track has accumulated several tens of thousands of listens since its release. These indicators do not measure exactly the same thing, but they show the same trend: “Je suis béni” is establishing itself as one of the most prominent Beninese tracks of this music season.

“Alpha,” a new chapter for First King

With “Alpha,” First King returns with a project broader than a simple single. The album blends various styles and collaborations, notably with Santrinos Raphael on “Lonlon.” “Je suis béni” falls within a theme of recognition and gratitude, a subject the artist has chosen to place at the heart of his communication around the track.
