N’Dali: a newborn saved at the last moment in the toilets in Mareborou
A newborn was found alive and crying in the toilets of a dwelling in Mareborou, in the commune of N’Dali, on Monday, December 29, 2025.

According to Deeman Radio, it was the owner of the premises, who is also Mareborou’s traditional chief, who was alerted by unusual cries. He immediately informed the village chief, triggering a spontaneous mobilization of the community.
Together, they managed to recover the child in time, thus saving his life.
The infant was rushed to the Saint Jean de Dieu Hospital in Boko to receive the necessary care.
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the abandonment and to identify those responsible for this act.
