Cameroon: a deadly Boko Haram attack leaves a dozen people dead
At least ten Cameroonian soldiers lost their lives and 20 others were wounded in an attack by the terrorist group Boko Haram on a military outpost in the Far North region, local media and security sources report.

The attack occurred on Monday night. According to the newspaper L’Œil du Sahel, the assailants ambushed and stormed the Wulgo military camp, located on the border with Nigeria. “They came in large numbers from Nigeria and surprised our soldiers. They had sophisticated weapons and technology. Our forces are currently in pursuit,” said a military officer on condition of anonymity.
The local authorities have not yet confirmed the final toll, adding that investigations are ongoing. According to local media, this attack is among the deadliest against the Cameroonian army since Boko Haram began operating in the region in 2014.
