FIFA has chosen Burna Boy and Shakira to perform Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 World Cup. A new milestone for Nigerian music, already represented at the 2022 World Cup by Davido.

Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy will participate in the rendition of the official World Cup 2026 song alongside Colombian pop icon Shakira. The track, named Dai Dai, will be officially unveiled on May 14, as Shakira announced on her social media. From the Maracanã stadium, here is “Dai Dai”, the official song of the 2026 World Cup. It will be the second consecutive World Cup to feature a Nigerian artist on the competition’s official anthem. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Davido had already participated in the official Hayya Hayya (Better Together). The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The tournament will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and will mark the first edition in history to feature 48 teams.
