DJ Ramatoulaye announces the death of his older sister ahead of his Abidjan show
Ivorian comedian DJ Ramatoulaye announced the death of his older sister on Thursday, September 10, 2026, via his Facebook page, just nine days before his 10th one-man show scheduled for September 19 at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan.

In a brief message shared by L’Avenir, Amani Koffi Mathieu, his real name, simply conveyed this loss to his community. The news comes as he prepares for “Ramatoulaye 2Tenues,” the show with which he is set to reconnect with his audience in Port-Bouët.
The event on September 19 is billed as the comedian’s tenth one-man show. The evening will take place at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan and will feature several segments dedicated to his journey, with guests from Côte d’Ivoire and other African countries.
This return to the stage will also include the presentation of “From MACA to MAKKA”, a novel written by Mamadou Gueu Dia Jonathan, inspired by DJ Ramatoulaye’s recent experiences. The book is set to be signed during the event.
The program communicated by the organizers currently confirms the one-man show for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan, with a start time announced for 7:00 pm.
