Cotonou: taxi-motor drivers’ taxi rights cards are available.
The city hall of Cotonou has announced the availability of taxi driver cards for motorcycle taxi drivers and owners who have paid their fees and taxes by June 30, 2026. The cards can be collected on weekdays at the locations where the applications were submitted.

Motorcycle taxi drivers and owners in Cotonou can now collect their taxi driver cards. In a statement dated August 17, 2026, the Executive Secretary of the city hall of Cotonou, Anges Paterne Amoussouga, informs the concerned parties about the availability of the cards.
The measure applies to drivers or owners of motorcycle taxis who have settled their dues and taxes by June 30, 2026, inclusive.
Specific Times for Collection
The city hall invites beneficiaries to collect their cards every weekday. The collections are organized in two time slots: from 8 AM to 12 PM in the morning and from 2 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon.
Collection must be done “at the application submission location,” the statement specifies. The city hall thus encourages the concerned drivers to make the necessary arrangements to retrieve their cards.
