Cooperation: Romuald Wadagni welcomed by Ibrahim Traoré for a working session
The President of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, arrived on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Ouagadougou as part of a visit of friendship and work to Burkina Faso.

Upon his arrival at the international airport of Ouagadougou, the Beninese head of state was welcomed by the President of Faso, Ibrahim Traoré. The official ceremony was marked by the performance of the national anthems of both countries, followed by military honors.
At the end of this protocol, the two heads of state had a face-to-face meeting in the VIP lounge of the airport. They then proceeded to the presidential palace of Koulouba, where a working session is scheduled.
This visit is part of the friendship and cooperation relations between Benin and Burkina Faso, according to information communicated by the Communication Directorate of the Presidency of Faso.
