CAF Champions League: Rangers arrive in Lomé to challenge AS SOBEMAP

The Enugu Rangers reached Lomé on Wednesday evening, two days ahead of their decisive encounter with SOBEMAP FC. The reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) will face the Beninese representative on Friday, September 11, at the Kégué Stadium. The first leg, played last weekend in Abeokuta, ended in a tied score (1-1). This result keeps both teams in contention ahead of this second leg, but it places the Rangers under pressure to aim for victory to advance to the next round.

The Enugu club intends to leverage its experience on the African stage to make a difference in Lomé. In turn, SOBEMAP FC will count on the support of the home crowd to try to secure their qualification. The other Nigerian representative in this competition, Rivers United, will also be in action, facing San Pedro FC from Ivory Coast in the first preliminary round.
