Benin: the SBEE announces scheduled power cuts this Thursday, August 20, 2026.

These interruptions, motivated by maintenance and upkeep work on the national grid, will affect several localities across the territory.

Details of affected areas and time slots

The scheduled interventions will result in service suspensions according to the following areas and time slots:

• Grand Nokoué Area:
  • Lokossa: The sectors of Possotomè, Dahè, and their surroundings will have outages from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Cotonou-East: The neighborhoods of Agbato, Sègbèya, Adogleta, and surrounding areas will be impacted from 11 AM to 3 PM.
  • Abomey-Calavi: The areas of Soneb, Allassankomey, and nearby regions are targeted from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Pobè: The localities of Adakplamey, Kpancou, Illara, Idigni, Ilikimou, Massè, Kétou Centre, Atchoubi, Assenan, Idenan, Sagon, Kpèdékpo, as well as the Royal Palace of Kétou and its surroundings will be without electricity from 11 AM to 3 PM.
  • Dogbo: Hletoumé, Adjahonmey, Lanta, and their bordering areas will experience interruptions from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Cotonou-West: The work will affect Vèdoko, Sainte-Rita, Sikecodji, Agontikon, the Reception Center, and their surroundings from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Ouidah: The sectors of Adimalè, Sékou, Dodji Aliho, Dangban, and nearby areas will be affected from 10 AM to 3 PM.
• North and Central Area:
  • Bohicon: The interventions will affect the sectors of Parc Auto, Saclo, Atchomè, ONAB, Bohicon, Cana, the Langanfin Palace, Hadagon, Forages, Zogbodomey, Nature Brique, Ouassa, and their surroundings from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Djougou: Two time slots for work from 11 AM to 3 PM will affect on one side Pénèssoulou, Penelan, Alédjo, Akaradé and their surroundings, and on the other side Taïfa, Sabari, Yaloua, Barienou, Gah, Lehman-Bogou, Naholou, Copargo, Birni, Tigninti and their peripheries.
  • Kandi: The disruptions will extend to Kassakou, Borodarou, Gounarou, Gogounou, Sori, Wara, Bagou, and their surroundings from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Parakou: The areas of Gando, Guessou-South, Sinendé, Yarra, and their surroundings will experience outages from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Natitingou: The outages will affect Kouandé, Wassah-Péhunco, Kérou, and their surroundings from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Dassa: The localities of Ayédjoko, Gobé, Atchakpa, Savè Ville, Diho, Ouoghi, Montéo, Alafia, Béthel, Kaboua, Gogoro, and their bordering areas will be affected from 10 AM to 3 PM.
