Benin-FIDA cooperation: Olushegun Bakari receives Claudia Savarese’s letters of appointment
The Beninese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, received on Monday, November 10, 2025 the letters of credence of Claudia Savarese, the new representative of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Benin.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Beninese government and IFAD, notably in the areas of agriculture, economic inclusion and food security.
The minister praised a constructive partnership in the service of sustainable development, while the IFAD representative reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting national priorities.
This meeting is part of the ongoing economic diplomacy advocated by Benin and demonstrates the dynamism of its collaboration with international institutions.
