Benin: criminals shoot a shopkeeper at point-blank range in his home in Djidja
A young merchant was cold-bloodedly shot dead at his home in Agounan, in the commune of Djidja (Zou department) on the night of Wednesday, October 29 to Thursday, October 30, 2025.

According to initial findings, the attackers reportedly broke into the home of the young merchant, who specialized in selling GSM products and money transfer services, before shooting him at point-blank range.
Witnesses at the scene were also reportedly wounded by gunfire and evacuated to a local health center.
The Republican Police, alerted, went to the scene to carry out the usual on-site procedures and opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the murder and identify the perpetrators.
The people of Agounan, still in shock, are calling on the authorities to strengthen security in the area, where cases of nighttime assaults had already been reported in recent months.
