Benin – Collision between 2 trucks in Djidja: extensive material damage
A traffic accident occurred in Dan, in the commune of Djidja, Zou department. Two heavy trucks collided, causing one of the vehicles to overturn and considerable material damage.

According to initial reports, the accident involved a truck carrying a cargo of rice and another loaded with granite blocks. The impact was so violent that the first vehicle overturned on the carriageway, temporarily blocking traffic.
Results and restoration of traffic flow
While no loss of life was reported, one person was injured. Material damage was extensive, due to damaged cargo and damaged vehicles. Following the intervention of local authorities and users, traffic was able to resume a few moments later.
This incident is yet another reminder of the need for increased vigilance on the roads and improved safety measures for HGV drivers.
