An operation carried out on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 by the special police station of Kaboua, in the municipality of Savè, succeeded in dismantling a network specialized in theft from moving trucks. Three individuals were arrested as part of this operation.

Everything started with a complaint registered on the night of July 1st to 2nd. A user had reported the theft of his motorcycle, taken while it was being transported on a truck departing from Cotonou for Kandi, near the village of Gogoro.
Thanks to effective collaboration between the intelligence services and the Challa-Ogoï police station, the alleged perpetrators of the theft, all residing in Kokoro, in the Challa-Ogoï district (Ouèssè municipality), were identified and arrested.
Two of them were caught red-handed while riding the stolen motorcycle, near the village of Okounfo. The third was found shortly afterwards.
The suspects are currently in custody for the purposes of the judicial investigation. The operation, praised for its speed and effectiveness, illustrates the strengthened cooperation between local police posts and intelligence units in the fight against traveling crime.
