2026 General Elections: CBDH launches citizen monitoring of the process
CBDH officially launched, in early December 2025, a monitoring mechanism for the electoral process ahead of the 2026 elections.

This initiative aims to closely follow the different stages of the process to ensure transparency, fairness, and respect for the rules in force.
Through this monitoring, CBDH intends to mobilize citizens and civil society to observe, document, and report any behavior contrary to electoral ethics. This independent oversight could play a key role in strengthening voters’ confidence in the process and preventing risks of fraud or violence.
The official schedule sets the legislative elections for January 11, 2026 and the presidential election in the second quarter of the year. That underscores the importance of such a citizen watch mechanism, both in the run-up to and during the polls.
