On the Remembrance Weekend this Sunday 10th November 2019, Duchess Kate Middleton paid tribute to her grandmother.
Prince William Kate’s wife did not miss the Remembrance Sunday in Britain, which commemorates the memory of all British people who fought for their country during the First World War. In fact, Closer reports that on Sunday 10th November 2019, Kate Middleton participated with the British Royal Family in a new ceremony held at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington. On occasion, Kate Middleton honoured the memory of two members of her family: her grandmother Valerie and her great-aunt Mary, who were twin sisters. To achieve this, Prince William’s wife “chose to wear a pin symbolizing the code breakers, to recall the work of his grandmother and twin sister”.
Available for purchase on The Poppy Shop, for £30, this brooch is described by Closer as “an extraordinary tribute to the work of those who worked to decrypt the signals”.
