The Didier Drogba Foundation hospital erected in Attecoubé municipality will soon open its doors for the pleasure of its users. Built since 2015, its inauguration has been announced several times. But from sources close to the foundation, activities in this health complex will begin in the first quarter of 2020.
It was in 2007 that the Ivorian international in round leather, Didier Drogba, set up his Foundation named after him. This foundation aims to provide support to African peoples and particularly to the most vulnerable Ivorians in the fields of health and education. Thus, to put words into action, the Didier Drogba Foundation has been building and equipping a hospital in the commune of Attecoubé since 2015. Several times, its inauguration and commissioning were announced, but still nothing.
This time, another announcement has just been made by a reliable source close to the promoter himself. According to him, the details of the imminent opening of this hospital are being worked out for the happiness of its future users: “Everything is ready for the happiness of our populations. Drogba wanted to offer this hospital. After a few blockages beyond the control of his Foundation, things have returned to normal and, very soon, people will be able to get treatment there”.
This building, built on an area of 800 m² at a total cost of five hundred million CFA francs, consists of an X-ray room, hospitalization and isolation rooms, an ultrasound room, a maternal and child protection room (PMI), an ultra-modern laboratory, a pharmacy and many other services, will open its doors during the first quarter of 2020. It should be noted that other municipalities and cities are being announced to host such an infrastructure, namely: Yamoussoukro, San Pedro, Man and Korhogo.
