The European Union strongly condemned the attacks that are trying to destabilize Burkina Faso and renewed its support to the country’s government to meet the security challenge.
Since 2015, Burkina Faso has faced an enormous security challenge. Deadly attacks are constantly affecting the daily lives of civilians. Recently, the deputy mayor of Djibo Oumarou Dicko, and three accompanying persons were killed in an attack that targeted them on Sunday 3th November 2019. This new attack provoked a reaction from the European Union. She offered her deepest condolences to the grieving families and strongly condemned the various attacks that are trying to destabilize the whole of Burkina Faso and steal their future from the citizens.
Through its delegation, the European body reiterated its support for the Burkinabe government in meeting the security challenge.
