The African Development Bank will invest 221 billion CFA francs in Benin in 2020. The announcement was made on Monday 11th November by the bank’s resident representative.
During a press conference held on Monday 11th November at the bank’s headquarters in Cotonou, its resident representative, Dr John E. C. Andrianarisata, unveiled the positive intentions for Benin. In 2020, the bank plans to invest 221 billion of our francs in various areas. This jackpot because the indicators are green. “The prospects are good…”, said the resident representative. According to Dr John Andrianarisata, this amount will be used to positively impact eight projects in the agriculture, transport, energy and sanitation sectors.
“This amount, which is more than double the amount approved in 2019, will be rigorously monitored for the development of the populations. This year, the bank authorized the disbursement of 95.96 billion CFA francs for Benin. This sum made it possible to achieve certain results,” says the speaker. These include projects engaged in agro-business, electricity, rural road construction, water and sanitation….. In addition, the AfDB, he said, had made a significant contribution to improving the business climate.
