While shooting The Eternals, actress Angelina Jolie must have had a big scare. The actress and her partner Richard Madden were evacuated from the Spanish island of Fuerteventura, Gala reported.
Angelina Jolie had a close call. Brad Pitt’s ex has found his way back to the film sets and particularly to The Eternals, a Marvel film directed by Chloé Zhao and due to be released in November 2020. According to Closer, the production chose to urgently evacuate the star and his partner Richard Madden, Rob Stark’s performer in Game of Thrones because of the discovery of a bomb. The device, which could date from the Second World War, is said to be a remnant of the Nazis’ presence on the Spanish island.
To avoid any risk, the two stars left the set to make way for the deminers and the police. According to a source who confided in the British newspaper The Sun, it was terrifying, the bomb had probably been there for years, no one had ever touched it. “But who knows what would have happened if it had been moved? Some of the biggest stars in the world were there, on the set, we wanted to take no risks. And fortunately experts have taken matters into their own hands,” she explained.
The same source reassures that the shooting has since resumed and the two actors will soon be joined by two other stars who will appear on the bill: Salma Hayek and Kit Harington, Jon Snow from Game of Thrones.
