Like 11 other African countries, Benin also participates in the 2nd G20 Africa Investment Conference. It opens on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Romuald Wadagni, represents Benin at the 2nd G20 Africa Investment Conference. During this conference, participants will discuss the projects of the “Compact with Africa” initiative on renewable energy sectors. Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Tunisia are also participating in this major investment event.
It should be noted that Benin has chosen the German company VOITH gmbh & Co. KGaA to carry out the rehabilitation project for the Nangbeto hydroelectric power plant at a total cost of €22 million.
