In Guinea, a young man was found dead on Tuesday in the courtroom of the Kaloum courtroom, one of Conakry’s major cities.
On the morning of tuesday 22th october, the dead body of Laye Keita was found in the courtroom of the Kaloum Court of First Instance near Conakry, the country’s capital. Informed, the public prosecutor at the said court, Aboubacar Sir Sylla, rushed to the scene. According to the prosecutor cited by Guinéematin.com, this “young man who was prosecuted for telephone theft but who was released a week ago. When we heard about this, we called the DPJ (Direction de la Police Judiciaire) to come and make a report. Then, the DPJ came to take the body and send it to the Ignace Deen National Hospital for the autopsy”.
The same source reveals that the cause of this tragedy is not yet known. “At the moment, we know nothing about the cause of his death. We’re waiting for the results the doctors will give to find out how he died. There is also a policeman sleeping here in the room, we are waiting for him to come and tell us how it happened,” the prosecutor added. This incident comes at a time when Guinea is going through a political crisis with demonstrations against a possible third term of office for President Alpha Condé.
