Security: Patrice Talon talks about the issues of the Ouagadougou summit
On Friday, September 13th, 2019, President Patrice Talon departed for Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, as part ot the ECOWAS Heads of State extraordinary summit on the fight against terrorism. A few hours before the start of the summit, the Beninese head of State raised the issues of this regional conclave in a publication on his Facebook page.
Tomorrow Saturday, September 14th, 2019, the ECOWAS Heads of State will be conclave around security issues in the sub-region. This meeting will allow the presidents to define strategies to be implemented to guarantee the peace and quiet of their populations, especially against terrorism.
According to the President of Benin, this extraordinary summit will enable the participants to study the issue of terrorism in all its aspects. “This extraordinary summit, which will take place on September, 14th, 2019 in Ouagadougou, is part of the actions to be taken at Community level to deal with the rise of terrorism, its related effects and its adverse effects on the governance, development and security of countries“, he said.
