Saudi Arabia attack: Donald Trump announces several sanctions against Iran

United State President Donald, Trump has announced new sanctions against the Iran’s Islamic Republic. The sanctions, according to Washington, come in response to attacks on Saudi oil facilities.

Trump administration is stepping up pressure against Hassan Rohani’s regime. Since the drone attack on Saudi oil facilities, the US president has said he is ready to take military action against his Middle East “beast.” But on friday, 20 september, the republican leader announced that he had imposed “the toughest sanctions ever imposed on a country” against the Tehran regime. “We just sanctioned National Bank of Iran. This has just been done,” he said, according to le Figaro. The Secretary of State for the Treasury said the sanctions targeted Iran’s central bank and its development fund.

Washington and Tehran have continued their tussle since the announcement of the first sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the unilateral withdrawal of  2015 agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. At both sides, the conditions required do not permit a dialogue between the two parties. Hassan Rohani’s regime demands the lifting of all sanctions against him before any negotiations with the Trump administration. This is completely rejected by Washington.
