Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has been uncooperative with United States, especially on diplomatic incidents that have prevented some Russian officials from travelling to the United States.
In the sidelines of the 74th United Nations National Assembly in New York, the head of russian diplomacy gave a long interview to the Russian media “Kommersant”. According to the statements reported by Sputnik, Sergei Lavrov denounced the behaviour of the Trump administration, which did not respond favourably to the visa requests of some Russian officials who were expected to attend the session of the international organization. “They refused to issue visas to 10 members of the Russian delegation,” said the Moscow representative.
For the diplomat, it is therefore time to reflect on the solution to be brought to the agitations of Americans. “Now, it will apparently be necessary to ask the question on how to deal with the UN headquarters,” said Sergei Lavrov. In other words, he wants the UN headquarters to be transferred from the USA to another territory. For several years, other countries had denounced the American hegemony over this organization. Could this russian call be the last straw that will break the camel’s back? Given the strength of the Russian Federation, it will take more heavyweights to dream of such a situation, which will certainly limit the strike force of Uncle Sam’s country’s leaders. As a reminder, Washington had summoned Cuban diplomats to leave his territory a few days before this world event.
