Football: Didier Drogba will present Golden ball ceremony

Former  international ivorian Didier Drogba will present the Golden Ball award ceremony which will hold in the Paris suburbs at the end of the year.

The prestigious award of France Football, the Golden Ball  which rewards the best player of the year will be awarded on monday 2 december at the Theatre du Chatelet, in the  Paris’s 1st boroughs. In the announcement of the date of the event, the french media also reported that the former captain of the elephants of the ivory Coast will present this gala evening. For the former european champion, “It is an honour to present this prestigious trophy. I take it as a recognition for my career and his exemplarity” explained the former Chelsea Blues striker.

In this context, the ivorian will conduct interviews that will be published in France Football and on the paper, digital and TV media’s team. In his football career, Didier Drogba was nominated eight times for this award between 2004 and 2012. His best ranking was in 2007 when he finished 4th in the race. “I wish I could have done better but this fourth place is a nice reward,” said the former Marseille player. A world-class striker, the former African Ballon d’Or winner hung up his cleats in 2018. His new challenge is the conquest of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF).
