A woman was killed in the province of Ontario after being assaulted by a burglar.
An 86-year-old woman died this week in Canada, in the province of Ontario. She reportedly died of her injuries a few days after being assaulted by a thief.
Last Friday, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) announced that 86-year-old Marion Fenwick was brutally attacked in broad daylight in a residential neighbourhood in the small town of Collingwood on the southern shore of Georgian Bay. She was walking on Market Street when she was hit by a man. Once the victim was down, the attacker grabbed her purse and fled. Marion Fenwick was immediately transported to hospital, before succumbing to her injuries a few days later.
On Friday, September 20, the OPP reported that a 30-year-old male suspect was arrested. He is charged with “violent robbery and aggravated assault”. He will remain in detention until a hearing on his release is held.
