Two-time african champion (2000-2002), 2000 african Golden Ball and Olympic champion, Patrick Mboma has applied for the coaching position for Cameroon’s indomitable Lions, which has been empty since the Dutchman Clarence Seedorf departure.

The 48-year-old former Cameroonian football glory Patrick Mboma, who recently graduated as a coach and is currently a consultant in Canal +, is determined to take the reins of his country’s national team. He confirmed that he had applied to replace former coach Clarence Seedof: “On 27th july, I quietly applied,” said Patrick Mboma on Canal.

Retired since 2005, Patrick Mboma hopes to lead Cameroon’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations adventure that will hold in Cameroon.
