Benin: Part of the ouémé deprived of drinking water this weekend
As part of the Porto-Novo – Missérété road construction and asphalting project, Soneb wants to undertake work to connect the new drinking water systems. in this context, the Nationale Water Society of Benin informs the populations of the concerned areas to set up water reserves for the weekend of 20th to September 22nd, 2019.
In a press release signed by the Ouémé-Plateau Departmental Directorate (OPDD) of SONEB, the company recommends that drinking water be stockpiled for subscribers in Porto-Novo, Sémè-Kpodji and Aguégués from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22, 2019. This deprivation of water to the populations of the above-mentioned cities is nothing more than the result of the work to connect the new systems as part of the Porto-Novo – Missérété road construction and asphalting project.

SONEB informs drinking water subscribers in the localities of Porto-Novo, Sémè-Kpodji and Aguégués that, as part of the project to develop and asphalt the Porto-Novo – Missérété road, work will be carried out to connect the new drinking water systems at the Ouando water plant from Friday, September 20th, 2019 from 8 pm to Sunday , September 22nd, 2019 at 7 pm inclusive.
This work will lead to disruptions or even cuts in the supply of drinking water in the localities of Porto-Novo, Sémè-Kpodji and Aguégués.
SONEB requests the populations of the concerned localities to build up water reserves for the indicated period.
