After the parliamentary elections, the now former mayor of the Aguégués, Victor Hounsa had given up his post to sit in parliament. His successor, after a Supreme Court decision, is finally known. It was this Thursday, September 19th, 2019.
The municipality of Les Aguégués now has a new mayor. He named Pierre Tovidé. As a municipal councillor, he received the anointing of all the councillors to lead the destiny of the commune until the next elections day. It was at the end of a long political-judicial process that the councillors were able to find their way back to harmony in order to get the municipality out of the impasse.
In fact, after the resignation of the former mayor, the prefect of Ouémé tried to elect his successor three times in vain. Tired, he asked the councillors to refer the matter to the Supreme Court. It was July 16th. Which was done.
